Since joining chambers in 2004, David Payne has been regularly instructed in Public Law Children Act cases at all levels, including the High Court and the Court of Appeal. He has continued to attract instructions from across a number of Local Authorities around the country in such matters, together with a growing number of instructions for respondents, including children.

In addition, David has often been invited to speak at conferences in family matters, together with having taken part in delivering court skill training exercises for social workers.

David also advises and appears in respect of a wide range of civil matters, including Road Traffic Accidents, Personal Injury, Housing Debt and Recovery on all tracks.  He also accepts instructions in criminal cases.
