Called in 1994, Kate initially practiced in London, returning to Birmingham, her home city, in 1997. She also undertakes a degree of personal injury work which draws upon her previous experience as a civil practitioner whilst in London.
Road haulage is her specialise area and is founded from her family background in the haulage industry. This foundation was built upon when she was employed in a number of solicitors firms which operated solely in this area.
