Adam is experienced in all aspects of immigration and asylum law. He is particularly interested in refugee law. He has appeared at all levels of the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and in the Administrative Court and Court of Appeal. In his spare time Adam enjoys reading, especially theology and he teaches on an applied Christian studies course.

In 2016 Adam was part of the Bar Standards Board's Public and Licensed Access Review - Task Completion Group.

The 2021-22 edition of Chambers and Partners notes - Adam Pipe handles a broad range of immigration and asylum law cases. He regularly appears before the Immigration Tribunal, the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal. His varied caseload includes country guidance, indefinite leave to remain claims and sponsorship licence revocations for claimants. 'He gets to the point and is well respected by court judges, who respect his knowledge and abilities.'
